We are excited to welcome punk legend Rat Scabies to Dundee, for an intimate night of conversation, followed by a Q & A session.
Rat will be talking about his life in The Damned and those attending will be treated to tales of general punk-rock misbehaviour and what is was really like during the 1977 punk rock wars.
Known as one of the great characters of the original London punk scene, Rat is renowned for his practical jokes and Scabies still has plenty to say about his time behind the kit with The Damned.
It easy to forget that Rat was there at the very beginning of punk, forming a band with Mick Jones, Tony James, and Brian James which held the roots of The Clash, Generation X and The Damned.
Rat also has a reputation for being a great raconteur, regaling with stories about Captain Sensible, Sid Vicious and Joe Strummer which will leave you recoiling in horror and laughter.
Scabies was not only the drummer for The Damned -he also wrote Waiting for The Blackout, Stab Your Back and the lyrics for Love Song.
The thorny subject of Rat's current relationship with The Damned will also be discussed….
Expect a great night of engaging conversation, where you can witness these stories at first hand and also have the opportunity to ask questions to a punk legend.
